Join us online on Monday, March 16, 2026, for our Family Empowerment Series training "Transitions: Middle School to High School."

In this session, we will equip you with the necessary tools and knowledge to support your students through this significant life change. Whether your students are considering a post-secondary track in college and career, applying to or enrolling into selective high schools, or simply growing up into their older teen years, this training is invaluable! While this training is specific to middle and high school parents and caregivers, we recommend this session to families with students of all ages!

We will cover important topics such as

  • Academic expectations,
  • Social adjustments, and
  • Effective communication strategies.

Want to study up early? Check out our office's YouTube page featuring a series of six dynamic videos on Special Education in DC! All videos are available in English and Spanish with open captioning. Visit our page on YouTube: youtube.com/@DCSpecialEducationHub/playlists for all 12 videos!
Attending our Family Empowerment Series is a great opportunity for caregivers to receive information and ask questions about how best to support their students with disabilities. Don't let this fantastic opportunity pass you by! We can't wait to see you there!

This training will be held on Zoom on Monday, March 16, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Registrants will receive the Zoom link an hour or two before the training.
