Join us online on Monday, November 3, 2025, for our Family Empowerment Series training "Parent Rights in Special Education."
In this session, we will offer valuable insights into parental rights, including confidentiality protocols, different types of complaints and how to file them, and the appeals process. Whether you're navigating the special education system for the first time or seeking to deepen your understanding, this training provides essential information to advocate effectively for your child's educational needs.
We will cover important topics such as
- Parent rights and protections under the Procedural Safeguards,
- Confidentiality rights and protections (rights that protect your student's privacy),
- Filing complaints (the difference between state complaints and due process complaints), and
- Parent resources.
